Send Instant Money to someone
Learn how to send an Instant Money voucher to someone
Step 1 of 13
To begin, go to your home screen and tap Transact.

Tap Send.
Step 3 of 13
Tap Send a voucher to someone else.
From here you can also send yourself a voucher, or manage your existing vouchers.

Tap Pay a new cellphone number.
Step 5 of 13
Enter the beneficiary's name, their cellphone number and a reference for yourself.
When you're done, tap NEXT.

Choose from which of your account you want to pay.
Step 7 of 13
Enter an amount you want to pay.
Step 8 of 13
Next, create a PIN that you'll share with your recipient, or have the app generate a PIN for you.

Accept the terms & conditions.

When you're ready, tap REVIEW.
Step 11 of 13
Check everything one last time, then tap CONFIRM.
Make sure you remember your voucher PIN.
Step 12 of 13
Enter the one-time PIN (OTP) we'll send to your phone.
Note:
- This is not your Instant Money voucher or ATM PIN
- If you’ve linked and secured your profile (DigiME), you won’t be asked for an OTP

All done! Your beneficiary can redeem the voucher at a Standard Bank ATMs or at participating stores including PEP, SPAR, Shoprite and Pick ‘n Pay.
You can also edit or share your Instant Money voucher from the Manage vouchers screen.
Frequently asked questions about sending Instant Money
How can I pay someone that doesn’t have a bank account?
The easiest way would be to send them an Instant Money voucher. The recipient can use the voucher to withdraw cash at our ATMs and selected SPAR, Pick ’n Pay, Boxer and Cambridge Food stores. You'll find the Instant Money option in the Pay menu.
I installed the Banking App onto my new phone, but I can't send an Instant Money voucher?
Please wait for 2 hours, then try again.
Where can I withdraw/redeem Instant Money?
Instant Money can be redeemed from:
