Mufti Zaid Haspatel
Mufti Zaid completed his Aalim Faadhil (with distinction) and his Iftaa at Darul-Uloom Zakariyya.
He currently lectures at Darul-Uloom Zakariyya and participates in the Iftaa department.
He also serves on the Shari’ah Boards of Sentio Capital Management, 27Four Investment Managers and FNB Islamic Banking.
Mufti Yusuf Suliman
Mufti Yusuf Suliman serves on several Shari’ah Advisory Committees, including Standard Bank, Bank of Maldives, Discovery Health, Investec Bank, Capital Legacy, and Alexander Forbes.
He developed Islamic Banking training material for all South African Islamic Banks under a BANKSETA contract and consults globally to Islamic financial institutions.
He is one of the few South African scholars accredited by AAOIFI as a Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor. He also holds a Certificate in Qadha (adjudication) from Imarat Shari’ah, Patna Bihar (India), and completed Iftaa (issuance of verdicts) at Darul Uloom Zakariyya, Lenasia.
Qari Mohamad Sauleh Peck
Mufti Yusuf Suliman holds a Certificate in Qadha (adjudication) from Imarat Shari’ah, Patna Bihar, and completed Iftaa at Darul Uloom Zakariyya, Lenasia. HAAOIFI also accredits him as a Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor.
He serves on several Shari’ah Advisory Committees, including Bank of Maldives, Discovery Health, Investec Bank, Capital Legacy, and Alexander Forbes, and is responsible for the development of the BANKSETA Islamic Banking training material for all South African Islamic Banks.
